You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls…”—Khalil Gibran, Lebanese-American Writer, Poet, and Visual Artist (1883-1931)
My Background
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Clinical Director of Regulus Counseling, PLLC in Seattle, Washington. I hold a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, with advanced training in leadership development, organizational systems, and workplace stress management.
My doctoral specialization in Organizational Leadership informs clinical and consulting work with professionals including the tech industry, airline and aviation sectors, and large organizations, working with executives, engineers, pilots, and leadership teams to address workplace stress, burnout, decision fatigue, leadership pressure, and organizational trauma. I integrate performance psychology, stress resilience training, and leadership coaching to improve both mental health and professional effectiveness.
I specialize in trauma-focused therapy, utilizing evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I provide mental health counseling for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, burnout, and high-performance stress, with a focus on First Responders, Veterans, and professionals in high-demand careers.
As a disabled Veteran of the United States Army, with a cumulative 22-year career in military service, law enforcement, and executive leadership, I bring real-world experiences to clinical practice. I served as a police officer and investigator, founded crisis intervention teams and hostage negotiation programs, and contributed to statewide law enforcement training curricula. I have also led organizational initiatives in behavioral health, peer support, and healthcare system transitions.
Through Regulus Counseling PLLC, I provide structured, results-oriented mental health services in Seattle and via telehealth across multiple states, offering therapy for trauma, PTSD treatment, executive stress, and burnout recovery, along with organizational consulting, leadership development, and workplace mental health solutions designed for high-risk and high-responsibility environments.
My Approach & Philosophy
Each person’s life circumstances are unique; each person’s view of their world, and the ability to manage and understand it, is unique. The key to healing is trust, where my approach is person-centered, focusing on the client and the moment-to-moment engagement, to create optimal conditions to facilitate a journey towards insights, and the opportunity for personal growth and healing. Through that journey, we all have the power to discover solutions to our problems, and to be proactive in navigating those solutions, making positive changes to improve our overall health and wellness.
In working with clients, I guide them with constructive coping tools to increase emotional health and to reduce their symptoms, using Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based interventions. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapeutic technique to help with PTSD and other trauma-related issues.
My hope is to help individuals live a life free of negative thoughts and experiences—a life of healthy well-being.
